Electoral Reforms

Canada's 1st Prime Minister - Ottawa 10 08Image by Mikey G Ottawa via Flickr

Mathematics is an ultimate answer which can make our prevalent electoral system of governance more effective benefiting the entire world.

Let’s split 50% in 3 parts. 61.8%, 38.2%. (23.6% can be a side option.)

Level1-We increase the absolute majority from 50% to 61.8% maintaining 5 year term.-on the threshold of “Very confident” level. However this wouldn’t happen soon if the trust of people in present affairs is low.

We create a relative majority 38.2%. The geometric mean of 61.8 & 38.2 is 50(Our nowadays absolute majority). Here we can create a government which would have a term as far as the heads decide and allow. Equivalent is to install 24×7 secure internet polling booths accessible to the public to vote or devote proving majority to higher of above 38.2%.

Critical majority 23.6%-In some states this can be implemented subject to relative majority so that all groups a better chance.

I intend to fame every society to become rich in serving humanity. Comments & critisms are most welcome.

Carry all refreshingly

A cut-away model of a torque converterImage via Wikipedia

I have coined a few criteria on which the latest cars are being designed and innovated to share with the discerning YOU.

The moment of inertia is greater if your car has bigger wheels. More so if the wheels are heavier. Good when the KE of braking would be converted into PE(Potential Energy) & stores. Drag is being reduced by reducing the number of wheels to 3-funny isn't it-ulta socho-the car has 2 wheels on front and one on back-lol.

Battery is a major field of research in major companies so better-eyes.

In today's situation for the crammed traffic and bad roads, you need a car with at least 12" road clearance. 7" in most cases don't suffice and practically even a 4" high brick/stone can strike the base.

WagonR is most successful because of less width but small wheels. The RVM can ensure a better reversal. The tall RVM of wagonR should have been in other cars too.

Aerodynamic shapes are good for high speeds to reduce air drag. Elliptical and fish shaped of verna has been excellent in mid-level segment. A major car company is seamless integrating these features which can flash Indian market in 2 years(best my wishes).

Cars are also being designed with just over 300 components instead of usual 5000 or so. Would love comments-good or other-wise. No doubt cars can be one person front too-easy maneuvering and road-ability.

So next time you come tired after a drive, read this post once more. I am sure it will change your perspective on cars. BMW and NASA are attracting ideas from we-people by contests.

One more point-buying a car with automatic transmission is not a bad option-even a WagonR has it and we never knew.

धूप-Sunshine

Earn money by investing in property.

The old road on the southern side of the St.Image via Wikipedia

Hunting for a nice property. Don’t decide by just an amazing appearance.

Where? Which town & colony? Very tough decision indeed.

Narrow plots-not good. Why-as compared to wider counterparts, even without a side alley, lose a lot of space in circulation. Go in for a lesser area but wider plots. Pooling in a house dividing into condos is a great idea!

Finishes and specifications-Ensure the previous owner provides a list of certified specifications and completion documents besides other legal documents. Consult technocrats.

See how well it gets the winter sun in and summer out. Renting and leasing such properties would be less frustrating so more $. Avoid houses shrouded in north-sloping notches.

Try properties with clubbed services and utilities like toilets and kitchens etc. Separate wet areas have lesser maintainable costs.

Try buying framed structures instead of load bearing if you are planning a alteration next 10 years for duplex or rentals etc.

Feel the air inside. Also ensure that it is not such way that water could possible creep in during heavy rains. People do forget this crucial aspect.

Have a feedback from the previous owner /tenent about what problems he faced.

Specially, the bedrooms shouldn’t face a road or rail traffic or airplane noise. Also avoid those properties with cross roads in a way that vehicular headlights fall on windows.

See the details, should not have ant, mole hills etc.

See the potential of surrounding plots and if it can be projected into a holiday resort etc.

Earning the real money-Please consult your technocrat and attorney. Land use plans. Design your house in a way that the first phase (on a side could be where you dwell) and expand yourself . Check out for my future blogs and posts for the same.

How to hire freelancers and create an asset out of them.

Selective Color: TrainImage by ( Krikit ) via Flickr

Going to freelance sites and expecting a good work is what is desired. Here’s a list of how you can hire:

1. Know what you want to achieve in work. Put down points and make an estimate of how many hours the job can be done.

2.The posting shall consist of identifiable sub-works. Ask your freelance site how these sub-works can be posted-whether as a single project or multiple.

3.The best way to identify core competencies of providers is to draw circles and list the prospective providers. If the circles overlap, it’s good for interactive co-ordination.

4.Start with a small job-$10, then $25, then $100 and so on. Sample an assignment and give a detailed description of what is the goal of the project and technically, what and what not is ti be done. Assigning $10 job to 3 prospective freelancers is not a bad choice-you can always catch up with the faster one.

5.Be clear in identifying deliverables. If you miss a deliverable and you presumably ask it for granted, the freelancer can sway you towards his range and press you for inflated amounts.

6.Use freelancing for services first and then for goods.

7.Keep records of messaging on website, enabling mediation. Emailing and chatting may not be a good choice. Unrecorded phone conversations aren’t since it is very difficult to retrieve memory based commitments.

8.Walk through orientation videos on websites and chat in the forums for subject related queries.

9.Asking for a paid 10 minute demo ($5) to every provider is not a bad choice.

10.Go clear on the size and type of deliverable. e.g. a walk through with 240×480 pixel resolution 16 frames per second. Movie length 10 seconds. Number of revision sessions-3. Time required-1day. Budget $100.

11. Don’t hesitate to ask for the time sheets in advance if you anticipate that the work would prolong.

Remember, ask full questions and answer to the provider’s queries, than coaxing him to ask reactive ones “What is your qualification?”,”Where are you located”,”Hey hey”, ” R U there” or any question which is described on provider’s profile. You might miss out a good, quick & economical provider.

Remember, a freelancer doing a good work truly requires $25 per (billable) hour to cover his expenses and save for his future. If it is a company or consortium it can be more than $200 per hour.

I wish you a happy posting and benefiting.

Optimising the search called life

Many African countries today have more than on...Image via Wikipedia

God is a principle. The moment god takes over us when we surrender, we focus on making our business more for the benefit of the end user.

We plan and earn money for our coming generations. Why, we love our kids because we see ourselves in them-the self image in our subconscious when we used to be toddlers-we can’t recall ourselves when we were in front of that mirror. So we prepare the edited version of our path for them.

There is a lot of suffering in some countries like Africa. So we have to think about humanity too. We realize we can’t be everything. So, we find out small core competencies like we look at our kids and relay the work cycle-like our employees , freelancers and corporates. We are the purpose of their business and rightly expect that we aren’t outsiders as well.

That’s how we shortlist the providers. That’s how we look at our suppliers. We have to segregate essentials and luxuries if we want to create utopia.

Relationships start just the way micro blogs so. We initially get paid in differentials and then trust too exponents. There is a definite way to optimize work/pay. So we remain down to earth and money works for us-it is not our master. And some day we are really rich-materially and spiritually.

Choosing the right apartment

Apartment BlockImage by Falconne007 via Flickr

It’s booming, mushrooming and raining houses in India.

After a lot of queries by the discerning flat buyers I would share few architectural tips on selection of right apartment. Because buying the right apartment would not only reduce your energy cost, but also fetch you greater sale/rental returns. No harms taking a measuring/sonic tape with you.

Avoid flats in the vicinity of aerodromes/railway lines, main roads.

Apartment having decks more of south along with some east sun is best-no matter where the entry is from. Ensure there is no pond, river, sea in that direction.

Buy apartments in the block which have a lot of trees and greenery in the west or a little north.

If you are planning to buy lower floors(4th or 5th). Make sure that they, especially the bedrooms, are not near the main entrance gates. For higher floors, ensure that the parapets should be solid (3′6″-4′ high)

Ensure the ceiling should be at least 9′ high and beams etc shouldn’t be visible. If visible you’ll have to shell in some interior makeover costs.

Try finding ones which have contiguous toilets. This entails maximum open views and ventilation.

See the drawing room. It should have 2-3 adjoining walls so that even if it is too small, it can accommodate maximum perimeter of sofas.

The dining and the kitchen are always near and it is like a lobby. Check that it should at least have a 5′ and 7′ adjoining walls so that a dining table can be well placed without cramming the chairs.

The bedrooms should be in such a way that you walk minimum to go to the wardrobe, toilet and balcony. If you are a right hander then look for a place for the study table so that light enters from the left. Also TV should be in place left or right of the light source.

Checkout for a small latticed drying balcony in NW or SE.

Your entry should be as near to lift but as far from noise from neighbor’s transit. (Former adds value by minimizing vestigial area).

It is not necessary that flats having a 90 degree angle are the most functional.

You are investing your hard earned money into a one time house. Act wisely. Consult your local realtor and technocrat for further advice.

Earn money by saving

An apartment estate in Singapore. Such blocks ...Image via Wikipedia

We are really into lot of created debt. How?

We are influenced by circles. We do have a lot of friends-some praise us and others not. We are impressed by our friends-by passion and fashion. We are unsatisfied lot if we see our circles do make a lot of trips abroad, have a luxury sedan and a plush villa etc etc.

Does this circle works for us. Yes it really does. We buy a daily care product through network marketing without realizing it was an instilled fear which created a need. We buy a TV just thinking that we would showoff the world. So, aren’t we living just for ourselves but for the society.

To buy the product, just think how it should be like. Go to sites like mouthshut.com & rateitall.com etc and have reviews of the products. They even show the comparative analysis. Buy a thing which suits your temperament. The reviews can be really helpful in finding a product in your imagination near to your budget.

Plan your budget and post purchase monthly expense on the maintenance of the product. Like you plan a car, don’t get mistaken by a less price. Actual expense would be service, insurance, spare parts and fuel etc.

Make a volumetric, weighted and time deliverable measurement standard. When you compare this, you will find the product which offers you the real value for money. Also include the future appreciation of the money.

We do earn a lot, but we spend a lot. Why not we save the money which is also an earning. We can always calender our events with friends, fix up convenient timings and multi task our trip. So we save $5 on fuel in a day. Wow. We run our ACs at 28 degrees and save $1 a day..not bad.

Invest in land on barren crests.

We take up value for money apartments and save…$250 a month…amazing. We buy our daily items and filter out what we really may not need in future. Another $1. Think, keep going and remember to post the feedback, even if bad.

Customisable communication

An example of a (simple, closed) curve: a hypo...Image via Wikipedia

While phones are good for personal level communication. Split second decisions may not be a good choice to put the memory into pressure. We need a interactive voice/text based communication system which transits the probabilistic responsive hours on the daily needs of individual with curves on address books.

Suppose one is moving near his car, so responsiveness should reduce in curved form on approaching so that a caller doesn’t disturb before driving or any related activity.

Communication should be broken down into combination of voice-text format and decisions conveying time limit depending on resposiveness should be listed there.

Addresses and identities of callers should be verified before the very first call is received.

I think this would de-clutter and enhance the collective performances whether with an individual or an organization.

Energy consciousness-the thirst & security-the thrust of emerging architecture are the basis morphing the architectural matrices from colonial to fantasy.

We are diminishing the requirement of harmful construction materials and quenching our thirst to go in for nature friendly processed materials. There is a lot to regulate. We have to break away from cubes and ornamentation to utilitarian aspects. We need transitional finishing materials for covering the aesthetic visible shell.

Organisation in a small unplanned city

Solar Panel installImage by richardmasoner via Flickr

I have seen a small city. Yes the quality of life is more natural. Things of your convenience-ration, clothes and other household utilities are within walkable reach-say just 200 m. More special services and quite a lot of employer locations are just within 500m. So why need a vehicle just spending ten times in commuting for a trivial thing. Manual transport reduces pollution and old courtyard houses save a lot of energy keeping bills as low as $100/year. I have noticed that per capita living cost is just $500/yr in such cities. So what have we really achieved by metros is what I really wonder.

Organisational Architecture

Communication code schemeImage via Wikipedia

I have not worked in any large organization, still I offer an unbiased opinion.

Every business goes on reputation which is different from character. The founder CEOs really have very good visions which become secondary. But the one way “Order” communication has complicated the organizational problems. How?

The face value of the senior “Order” becomes an excuse and gives the employee “benefit of doubt” so that he can prove that the order has been obeyed without giving the outcome desired by the end user-”Customer”. Hierarchy aggravates the problem. This lack of interaction in employee is a natural tendency as he may want “home culture” in his corporate environment-or his colleague had taken an advantage (not realizing if ha has himself unknowingly) etc.

Every service is time bound package-we need to invent a calculus which would soften the rigid graphs and have a trend torch which will show the way with different cadres in different colors. Often customer feedback is the only key to narrowing and focus of the trend torch-we have to come out of good and bad-to good and learn-implement-follow equation. The employee will himself realize where he has to go to keep it more focussed and competitively upwards.

We have to remember that only true formula is=A simple equation.

Architecture in daily life loops.

The Open Hand Monument is one of numerous proj...Image via Wikipedia

I wake up, rub my eyes and find my spectacles in conveniently placed table near the bed. The slippers are neatly stacked below the semi-cantilever bed. Walking to the attached bathroom, i wash my face and shave on the concave mirror. A ventilator above sprays a lot of diffused light.

Getting ready in a jiffy with a nearby cupboard, i take my belongings on the reminder table at the room exit-to the sites. Or at my workstation, which conceals the noodle wires through a gap in 2 loosely placed table, i have the flexibility to stretch my feet at 45 deg. All the drawers, alcoves, hardware, stationery etc are in my vicinity. My desktop enabled working and surfing in multitasking mode shifting at convenience. And suddenly then….

THE PHONE RINGS-the whole paradigm shifts to that created urgency which i could have deferred by 2-10 minutes hence if i would have a mail/sms and callback. This tempo would now take 20-30 minutes to rebuild if there isn’t a second call. Clutter takes over the flow. The voice mail was poor and not at all customizable to my requirements so i shunted it out. I doodle on my internet trying to filter the crux of the call and feel like the need to have a software which would record the outcome and the action required and make me relaxed.

Architecture and designs take over-a few sketch downs and ups, cad lines & edits. Every time a new line defines itself. No stroke can be similar. Emails come and go, new sites are stepped on. New ideas creep craving for it’s takers- A cup of tea-good time for feedback calls to buyers & personal chats.

Hey internet-give us some color and plasticine clays to sculpt buildings. Bit more-follow us on more complicated lines. Late nights give heartaches wondering this lease of life will make the world more innovative, I cantilever my feet like a portal frame and the sleep dives like Le Corbusier’s modular.

Where are we going?

Ultimate Spiral. Art by Stuart Immonen.Image via Wikipedia

With the advent of internet, our civilization is going for a entirely different perspective.

Now is the time of knowledge sharing. This will spurt up the locked corners of imagination and we are really headed for a new era in interdependence like never before-computers, internet, software, robotics and what not. Humanity is evolving without the need of craving for power and dominance.

We are heading for a new revolution which will be technological and green. How about a new world, where we'll become less ground related and placing our habitations based on potentially adaptable places. The roads and city networks on flood and earthquake proofed platforms. Our cities be protected be calamities like winds etc. Mingling with lot of nature and green transportation.

Everyone thrives with the work he loves. Everyone having a lot of purchasing power to innovate the lives of the future generation. Everyone having good oxygen and stamina with a lot of fresh air walks in the interconnected city greens. Tech geeks developing their one room laboratories. Inventions and innovations. Rhythms of routines working on differently creative things. We'll develop solid-plasma models by dancing our fingers above a table.

3D-Spiral houses with warping tree strands, houses like the mixture of a ball and a disc-like never imagined before. Self cleaning houses changing shapes as per climatic and usage responses. Stackable and inflatable cars-no parking hassles. Laptops like wearing a watch.

We'll have e-parcels through duct portals from anywhere on earth in minutes. We'll have real meetings and share real trust and we'll have programs establishing that. We'll use 1% of energy of what we use now. How's that?

SO OUR MATRIX IS EVOLVING.

God will be really happy to see us enjoying our work.

Some dos and dont's in planning your house.

A table set for two people.Image via Wikipedia

I am sharing the basic house planning principles. Consult your architect to incorporate these in you home plan. We practice the same as "Vastu-Shastra" in India.

1.Make the room approx 2:3 ratio-This not only makes the room look good, but improves the flexibility in usage
2.Try to consolidate doors-Try to bunch all the doors-from other rooms, external and internal-so that you have continuous furniture keeping space,
3. Alternate side windows-on opposite walls are the best-to create cross ventilation and health.
4.Kitchen Location-Should be opposite to prevailing wind direction.
5.Toilet Location-Should be away from kitchen and preferably on the cross wind corners.
6.L-shaped, long and irregular rooms impair the functionality of the house. Please consult your architect.
7.Try to scribble movable routes from room to room for all and ask your architect to minimize the circulation area.
8.Divide the house into 3 zones-Public, family and private. 1 & 3 should be exclusive.
